Garlic Bread crusted the hill, sheilding the sun’s glare from his eyes. He turned to his ragtag team of friends and companions, seeing their questioning gaze.

‘We can do it, we can win. We will crumble their forces and spread our message to the furthest reachest of Loafdom. We will be the force of yeasteryear our children talk about!’ 

Nutella Toast turned to Marmalade Spread and nodded. Raspberry Jam on Toast reached out tentatively to hold Toast Peanut Butters hand, and HoneySqueeze held the shaking Bananabread close to comfort it. 

Pastrami Toastie stood on the cliff, beyond their sight, and nodded sagely. 

The revolution was beginning. 

As they trudged down the slope into wholegrain
